I am a classically trained musician (bassoon) who loves to draw and now works as a secretary for a police department (life happens).

I have two cats, love God, reading (particularly British cozy mysteries), classical music & composers (Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc.), symphony orchestras, art (realism being my favorite) and much, much more.

My favorite singers are Adam Lambert, Josh Groban, John Barrowman & Nancy Knote. Adam's guitarist, Tommy Joe Ratliff, unknowingly to him, motivated me to return to drawing after I quit years ago.

I have recently become interested in other pop/rock bands (surprise to me) but no one will ever replace Tommy or Adam.

I started this blog out to post my drawings of Tommy but it has turned out to reflect how I feel, what I love and what I find interesting and beautiful. You'll basically get to know a lot about me after viewing "My World in Grays."

If anyone would like to commission a drawing from a photograph, please contact me at cargill214@yahoo.com (I'm not that expensive). See my work here or more at http://joilieder.deviantart.com/

Enjoy!

Another photographer found a bassoon angel in a church - Kirch am Hof or Church of the Farm.  It was built in 1386 with some facade work changed over the years.

I’m assuming this is a roof section of a cathedral.  Wow, the work put in this is amazing.

The cathedral and its grounds/garden are beautiful.  Unfortunately there is no information as to where this cathedral is at.  As much as I love cathedrals, I sometimes think that too much money was spent to build such an extravagant building for people to come and worship God.  Don’t get me wrong, I am a believer of God and Jesus Christ, I just don’t think such a building should be necessary for the “church” (the group of believers) to gather together to worship thee God.  BUT, it is still a beautiful cathedral of unknown location.
