I am a classically trained musician (bassoon) who loves to draw and now works as a secretary for a police department (life happens).

I have two cats, love God, reading (particularly British cozy mysteries), classical music & composers (Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc.), symphony orchestras, art (realism being my favorite) and much, much more.

My favorite singers are Adam Lambert, Josh Groban, John Barrowman & Nancy Knote. Adam's guitarist, Tommy Joe Ratliff, unknowingly to him, motivated me to return to drawing after I quit years ago.

I have recently become interested in other pop/rock bands (surprise to me) but no one will ever replace Tommy or Adam.

I started this blog out to post my drawings of Tommy but it has turned out to reflect how I feel, what I love and what I find interesting and beautiful. You'll basically get to know a lot about me after viewing "My World in Grays."

Fritillaria - the are found in the northern hemisphere, come up in the Spring, are usually checked brown and yellow but bloom in other colors also.  To me they look like an upside-down tulip. Photo from the Widecombe-in-the-Moor website
